There is a number of stars that could be classed as synonymous with ICW.
Names such as The New Age Kliq, Rudo Lightning and Kid Fite instantly spring to mind.
But during the height of the promotion’s popularity, there was one tag team earning rave reviews from the fans – The Bucky Boys. One half of that team was a young man named Davey Blaze.
A powerhouse brawler, Blaze oozed charisma from his early days in ICW. Alongside his partner Stevie Boy, they put on high quality bouts every time they performed.
The feud between them, NAK and Sumerian Death Squad put the division on the map world wide.
Following the teams’s break up in 2015, Davey remained a consistent performer in the ICW midcard, opening two of the company’s biggest shows – Fear and Loathing 8 and 9.
He would remain with the company until 2017, where he parted ways on less than good times. Despite keeping himself in the public eye in promotions like PBW, fans consistently asked if or when he’d return to ICW.
That question was finally answered in late 2019 at Fear and Loathing. That night at SWG3, Blaze returned to help Grado fend off The Young Team to a rapturous ovation.
Now, three months on from that night, Davey Blaze sat down with our own Ryan Gallagher. They talked about Davey’s start in professional wrestling, his first run and departure from ICW, and that big return – just to name a few.
