Edinburgh might not be an obvious choice for a wrestling promotion, but for the past few years it has been home of Discovery Wrestling.
Bringing the best wrestling talent from all over the world, whether it be the UK household names, to further beyond, including a Bullet Club Invasion.
Discovery Wrestling has brought the best of wrestling, to be enjoyed by all ages. The promotion gives the opportunity to 8 men to compete in a tournament, named the Hotter Than Hell tournament, with the prize being a contract that would guarantee one match for the Y division championship over the space of the next 12 months.
In part one of our Discovery Hotter Than Hell Special, we spoke with Tom Fulton and Theo Doros. Kwaku caught up with “Future Shock” Tom Fulton on returning to Discovery from the year 2133 to face Martin Kirby in his quarter final match of the Hotter Than Hell Tournament.
Tom describes himself as a tub of Ben & Jerry’s. This is as he is from the future and can pick any styles he wants to wrestle in. Tom also speaks of how he hopes to cement his place in Discovery Wrestling.
Sarah spoke with “The Superior Cypriot” and House of Saynt member Theo Doros ahead of his Quarter Final match against Chris Renfrew. Theo talks about what it means for him to be selected for the tournament, his preparations ahead of this tournament and what he plans to do to show everybody just why he is called the Superior Cypriot.
January saw his return to Discovery to win the annual “Disco Derby”, where the winner received a Discovery Wrestling contract. Andy spoke with Sarah on his strategies and preparations heading into this tournament, as well as sharing what kind of champion he would be if he were to be successful in obtaining the Hotter Than Hell contract, and cashing in to be Y division champion.
Kwaku caught up with “The Bone Collector” Irving Garrett, and 2018 Drew Galloway Invitational winner. Being no stranger to these kinds of tournaments, Irving hopes to bring the experience from winning the Drew Galloway Invitational in his quarter final match against hometown hero, “Bad Boy” Liam Thomson.
Sarah also got the chance to catch up with hometown boy Liam Thomson on his return to wrestling after a career threatening injury, what it means for him to be selected for this tournament after being part of the company’s first ever match, as well as his preparations heading into his match with Irving Garrett.
