We’re keeping it all in the family for this episode of Suplex Retweet as we take a look at family feuds.
Listen now on
Families fight all the time. That’s just a fact. No matter how close you are. And it’s no different in the world of wrestling.
If you have a relative (most likely a sibling) its inevitable that at some point you’re going to paired in against them in a storyline. It’s fair to say these can have some mixed results. When done well because the audiences can relate to having issues with a family member
Even some of the best wrestling families have come across this including Uncle & Nephew Eddie and Chavo Guerrero and perhaps the most famous example with brothers Bret and Owen Hart.
On the other side of the coin we’ve seen some terrible family feuds from the Steiner brothers & in recent years the Bella twins which featured Jerry Springer which is always a good sign.
There have even examples of feuds between wrestlers who are only related in Kayfabe. From the brothers that reeked of Awesomeness Edge and Christian to the most famous Kayfabe brothers Kane and the Undertaker.
Join host David Haughney and the panel which includes fortunately includes a real relative in Ross and Scott McLeod. The panel breakdown the most notable family feuds and look to separate the good from the bad.
