The famous carving in South Dakota arguably depicts the four greatest Presidents the United States has ever seen.
As a result, it is easy to take this blueprint and apply to any ‘Greatest Ever’ discussion. In wrestling, it is no different.
The difficulty in the debate is narrowing the choice down to just four. Wrestling has seen so many greats grace the squared circle over the past six decades.
Men such as Bruno Sammartino and Hulk Hogan helped transition the sport. Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels played pivotal roles in an era where popularity dipped.
These and many more are just same of the names who could grace that hypothetical mountain side.
Recent times have also saw many female wrestlers stake their claim, with WWE’s Four Horsewomen have helped to change the face of the division.
As a result, Allan and his panel took the decision to come up with not just one Mount Rushmore of Wrestling, but two.
The panel attempt to debate and construct a Mount Rushmore of Male & Female wrestlers. To do this, each panelist came up with their own four for each before agreeing on an overall final four.
With so many greats to choose from, there is plenty to debate in this.
